HPMC Empty Veggie Capsules are produced with plant-derived material (HPMC: hydroxy, propyl, methyl, and cellulose) and purified water. The HPMC is a wood pulp derived from the softwood tree species including Pine and Spruce.


Product introduction


Healsee HPMC Empty Veggie Capsules are made from cellulose. The cellulose used to manufacture HPMC capsules is derived from trees, inert and free from animal source related issues. Veggie capsules futures low moisture content, ideal for moisture sensitive and liquid formulations. Healsee capsules contain no preservatives, gelatin, wheat, gluten or animal by-products. To ensure complete safety, all HPMC Empty Veggie Capsules are Kosher and Halal certified, and made in NSF-GMP approved facility.

Recommended storage conditions: 15-25 ℃,35-65% relative humidity.

Product details


-The dimples are designed to engage smoothly with the serrated ring of the body during the pre-clamp condition.

-A smooth cutting edge can affect the filling performance of the capsule.

-The design of the tapered ring on the body allows for encapsulation without telescoping, particularly on high speed capsule filling machines.

-The hemispherical end must also withstand the closing pressure during the locking movement.

-The end of the capsule is the main part that supports the closing pressure during the locking movement. Its thickness must withstand the closing force of the filling machine to avoid dents.

-The locking rings are designed to fit snugly during locking and to prevent separation or leakage of the contents.

-Vents are designed to release the compressed air inside the capsules during the filling process.

-The body thickness must be within specifications to allow smooth operation during the filling process and a perfect fit between the cap and body walls.


Production process


- Once the raw materials have been received and validated by quality control, the glue and hot pure water are mixed under vacuum in the melting system.

- The solution is then transferred to feed tanks.

- The necessary dyes and water are added to the solution in the feed tanks to complete the preparation process.

- From the feed tank, the glue is fed by gravity to the plunger section. There, the capsules are moulded onto pin bars which are dipped into the solution.

- Once immersed, the pin bars rise to the top stage, allowing the cap and body to attach to the pins.

- The pin bars pass into the drying system. Here, gently moving air, precisely controlled in volume, temperature and humidity, removes the exact amount of moisture from the cap halves.

- Once drying is complete, the capsule bars enter the table section which positions the capsule halves to detach from the pins in the automatic section.

- In the automatic section, the capsule halves are detached individually from the pins.

- The lengths of the bodies and capsules are precisely adjusted, with a tolerance of ±0.15 mm.

- The cap bodies and caps are automatically assembled in the assembly blocks.

- The finished capsules are pushed onto a conveyor belt which transports them to a container.

- The capsules are checked for quality throughout the production process, including size, moisture content, single wall thickness and colour.

- Capsules are sorted and visually inspected at specially designed inspection stations.

- Perfect capsules are printed with the customer's logo on high-speed capsule printing machines. The capsules are now ready for sterilisation and packaging.
